I wanted to share this advert I saw on TV a couple of weeks ago. If you didn’t know what it was about, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was something to do with young offenders or someone with an addiction. It’s fair to say I was pleasantly surprised to see it was an awareness campaign for arthritic conditions and how many work days are lost every year to pain. The young man in the video isn’t the cliched image of an elderly person suffering with joint pain through old age. He was like me, in age at least, and I felt represented and the pain I talk of to friends and family validated.
